Regenerate scenes and pictures

Rebuild one scene from scratch, draw a picture again and pick the version you like, and know the Free plan rebuild limit.

Last updated

If a scene is not working, you can regenerate it: the AI rewrites the chapter, redraws its picture and records its voice again. If only one drawing is wrong, you can draw just that picture again and choose from several new versions.

Regenerate a scene

  1. Open the Scenes panel on the left.
  2. Right-click the scene and choose Regenerate scene. This option is only on scenes the AI made.
  3. You will see "Regenerating scene N…", then "Scene N regenerated. Open it to see the new version."

If you prefer the old version, right-click the scene and choose Undo rebuild. It brings back the version from before the last regeneration ("Scene N restored to the previous version"). If the scenes have changed too much since, a message tells you that version is no longer available.

Free plan: 3 rebuilds per video

On the Free plan, each video gets 3 scene rebuilds. After a rebuild, the message tells you how many free rebuilds are left on that video. Paid plans have no rebuild limit.

When you use them up, a Keep rebuilding with Plus or Pro box appears. Edits you make yourself to what is on screen stay free, so you can still fix text, move things and use the tools in Edit a scene. Buying a one-time export of a video does not add rebuilds to it.

Rebuilds do not cost credits

Regenerating scenes and editing in the editor never cost credits. Only building a new video does. See plans and credits for details.

Draw one picture again

For a single drawing:

  1. Select the drawing on the canvas and click the sparkle button next to it.
  2. Click Draw it again.
  3. A Pick a drawing window opens. It shows the picture On the page now next to new options, labeled Option 1, Option 2 and so on. Options show "Drawing…" until they arrive.
  4. Click the option you want to put it on the page, or click Keep the current one to leave the picture as it is.

For photos and other images, the same sparkle button offers Regenerate, More vivid, Simpler and Photorealistic instead. See Edit with AI.

When a picture is refused

Sometimes the image supplier declines to make a picture. The scene card then shows NO PICTURE with the reason (often "The image supplier declined this picture."). Click Draw it again on the card to try again.

Rebuild the whole video from the plan

Edit outline, at the top of the Scenes panel, opens the full plan: chapter titles, narration, scene types and order. Change what you need, then click Regenerate video. To add a single chapter instead, right-click a scene and choose Insert scene after: answer "What should this chapter cover?" and click Insert. The new chapter is voiced in the video's voice.

If a scene's drawing hand moves strangely, for example going back over things it already drew, right-click the scene and choose Redo hand movement. This repairs the hand path without regenerating anything.
